Amairgin the Gael CCE Newport were invited to visit Kildare to share in their County Board Fleadh and to take part in The Gathering 2013. This event took place in Leixlip, Co Kildare, home to the Craobh Beartla UI Fhlatharta Branch, between 26th & 28th April 2013.
Nine members from the only Welsh CCE branch travelled by car, boat and airplane for the event this included Noreen Johnstone (ATG Secretary) Sean Keane (a native of Leixlip now living in Newport) Liz & Willie Cowan, Marianne & Pete McAleer, Steffan & Linda Evans and Paige Woodward. Their initial welcome from Nuala & Martin Keane (Sean's Mam & Dad) made them feel more like old friends returning for a visit rather than strangers meeting for the first time.
