Welcome to the website of Amairgin the Gael, the only Welsh branch of Comhaltas Ceoltoiri Eireann. Based at the Newport Irish club we run classes in traditional music, dance and Irish language. A session is held on the first Friday of every month and we hold other events through the year.

Tredegar House Festival - More pictures and video here!

Our first shows as a dance side at this international festival were well received by the public and the organisers. Our youth musicians also joined Donald for his Saturday morning show.

Congratulations to all the Amairgin the Gael performers at the Princethorpe Fleadh. Among our medalists are several golds and this could well be our best year yet, even though we don't field as many competitors as other branches.
